WHODrug Global is Uppsala Monitoring Centre's international drug reference dictionary. It provides standardised medicinal-product information and is commonly used to code concomitant medications and other medicinal-product data in clinical development and pharmacovigilance.

Relationship with MedDRA

MedDRA primarily standardises medical concepts such as adverse events and reactions. WHODrug primarily standardises medicinal products and substances. A safety case can therefore use both: WHODrug for the medicinal product and MedDRA for the medical event.

UMC also provides supporting applications and services including WHODrug Insight, change-analysis tools and coding-related services.
